250 g Makfa wholegrain pasta quills
2 tbsp butter
15 saffron threads
350 ml dairy cream (22%)
3 tbsp of shredded Parmesan
time 15 minutes

1. Boil pasta in slightly salted water for 6 minutes according to the instructions on the packaging to al dente perfection. Get the pasta in a colander.
2. To cook the sauce melt butter in a saucepan, but don’t bring it to a boil. Add saffron and remove the saucepan from heat. Stir butter until it turns nice saffron.
3. Heat dairy cream without bringing it to a boil, and whisk in saffron butter in a thin trickle, still stirring.
4. Pour pasta into the sauce, whisk together and let stand for 3-4 minutes. Sprinkle with Parmesan and serve.
