Tender Semolina Bake with Cherry Sauce

250 g of smooth cottage cheese

300 g of cherries, kernels removed

60 g of butter

3 eggs

150 g of sweet apples

75 g of sugar

150 g of Makfa semolina

1 packet of vanilla sugar

1/2 tsp of salt

flour for dusting

for the sauce:

300 g of cherries, kernels removed

70 g of sugar

1 tsp of starch

1 hour

1. Mix the cottage cheese with the cherries, add 50 g of soft butter and the eggs.

2. Peel the apples, remove seeds, cut into small cubes, add to the cottage cheese. Add the sugar, the semolina, the vanilla sugar, and salt. Mix well.

3. Baste a large heat-resistant form with tall edges with the remaining butter and sprinkle with flour. Place the dough into the form and bake in the oven at 180 °С for 40 minutes.

4. Meanwhile prepare the sauce. Mix the cherries with the sugar and the starch. Bring the sauce to a boil at medium heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.

5. Serve warm or cold with cherry sauce.
