600 ml of milk

3/4 tsp of salt

150 g of cornmeal

100 g of butter

8 large eggs

230 g of Cheddar cheese

200 g of ham

45 minutes

1. Mix the milk with salt in the stewpot and bring to a boil. Stirring constantly, add the cornmeal, bring to a boil and turn off the heat. Continue stirring until the mixture thickens. Remove from heat and add 90 g of butter; mix until it dissolves fully.

2. Whisk eggs in a large cup. Add coarsely grated cheese, the cubed ham and the cornmeal.

3. Heat the oven to175 °С. Place a leaf of parchment on the baking sheet 22.5 x 32.5 cm, and baste with the remaining butter. Pour the mixture into the form and bake for 30 minutes until the dough rises and turns golden. Serve warm.
