2 packets of Makfa pearl barley in packets
150 g of feta cheese
4 tbsp of olive oil
1/2 tsp of ground coriander seeds
1/4 tsp of ground jeera (cumin)
1 green bell pepper
4 stalks of green onion
2 cloves of garlic
2 tbsp of lemon juice
80 g of fried cashew nuts
freshly ground black pepper
time 55 minutes

1. Pour water in a saucepan, add salt and bring to a boil. Shake the packets with pearl barley and gently lower them into the water. Reduce heat and cook the pearl barley for 35-40 minutes. Cool the pearl barley, remove from packets and place is a large bowl.
2. Cube the feta, mix in a bowl with 1 1/2 tbsp of olive oil, the coriander seeds and the jeera (cumin). Mix and set aside.
3. Clean out and cube the pepper, cut the green onions into rings. Peel the garlic and mince it. Add all the ingredients to the pearl barley, add the lemon juice and 2 tbsp of olive oil. Add salt and pepper, and mix.
4. Ladle the salad onto the plates, place the feta and the nuts on top. Serve.
