70 g of butter
120 g of packaged Makfa white round rice
1 cinnamon stick
a pinch of ground turmeric
2 cardamon pods
1 bay leaf
50 g of dried peach
50 g of raisins
50 g of roasted cashews
50 g of roasted almonds
time 30 minutes

1. Dissolve 20 g of butter in a stewpot, and fry the rice with the cinnamon, the turmeric, the cardamon and the bay leaves for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add boiling water to let it cover the rice plus 1.5-2 cm on top, add salt, reduce the heat to the minimum, cover and cook for 20 minutes.
2. Cut the dried peach into small pieces. Dissolve the remaining butter in the frying pan and fry the dried peach and the raisins for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
3. Add the nuts and the dried fruit to the stewpot with the rice, mix, and let stand for 15 minutes. Serve.
