Cornmeal with Chanterelles

Cornmeal with Chanterelles
2 servings

1 bag of Makfa cornmeal in cooking bags

2 tbsp olive oil

3 cloves of garlic

1 onion

200 g of chanterelles

5 tbsp of water

any greens to serve (optional)

45 minutes

1. Pour water into a saucepan, bring to a boil. Shake the packet with the cornmeal, and lower it gently into the boiling water. Reduce heat and cook for 35–40 minutes until ready. Let cool and remove the porridge from the packets.

2. Heat olive oil in a sauce pan and fry unpeeled garlic for 3 to 5 minutes until the oil acquires the flavor. Throw away the garlic, add the chanterelles and the onion cut in rings, and fry for 10 minutes until golden.

3. Mix the porridge with the chanterelles and the onion, serve. Add chopped greens if desired.
