90 g of packaged Makfa cornmeal
350 ml of water
200 ml of milk
30 g of butter
30 g of sugar
a pinch of salt
any nuts, berries, fruit to serve
time 35 minutes

1. Put the cornmeal in a saucepan with a thick bottom, add water, bring to a boil, and cook, stirring gently, for 15-20 minutes until half done.
2. When the water almost evaporates and the porridge becomes thick, add half of the milk and mix. Let the milk get warm, add the remaining milk, butter, salt and sugar. Bring the porridge to a boil, reduce heat and cook for 15-20 minutes.
3. When ready, the porridge may appear too thin; to let it get thicker, wrap it up and let stand for a while. Decorate the porridge with nuts or fruit and serve.
