Millet and Carrot Pancakes

Millet and Carrot Pancakes
2–4 servings

3 bags of Makfa millet in cooking bags

2 carrots

1/2 onion

1-2 cloves of garlic

1 egg

1 small bunch of dill

1 tbsp of sour cream

3 tbsp of flour

vegetable oil for frying

sour cream for service

spices to taste

1. Pour water in a saucepan, bring to a boil, add salt. Shake the packet with the millet, and lower it gently into the boiling water. Reduce heat and cook for 20 minutes until ready. Let cool, and remove the millet from the packet.

2. Cook the carrots in another saucepan for 20 minutes until ready. Peel and grate the carrots finely. Peel and chop onions and garlic.

3. Add carrots, onion, garlic, eggs, thinly chopped dill, sour cream, flour and your favorite spices to the millet. Add salt and mix well.

4. Heat oil in the frying pan and fry the pancakes on moderate heat under a lid for 3-4 minutes on each side.

5. Serve with sour cream
