180 g of packaged Makfa pearl barley
500 ml of water
3 tbsp of sugar
1 1/2 tsp of anise seeds
50 g of golden raisins
60 g of roasted almonds
1-2 tbsp of milk
time 50 minutes

1. Pour water into a medium-sized saucepan, add the pearl barley, the sugar, the anise seeds and the raisins. Bring to a boil, cover, reduce heat and cook for 40-45 minutes until the liquid is absorbed. Whisk the mixture with a fork.
2. Sprinkle with fried nuts and cold milk, and serve warm.
